Nestled in the heart of Townsville and surrounded by the cityscape, House of Vows is the venue for the couple that wants to do it their way. Located on site is The Warehouse perfect for intimate ceremonies and receptions. This venue is great for couples looking to elope or host a micro wedding.

House of Vows offers the perfect urban backdrop and space for food trucks to pull up and feed hungry guests. The Alleyway next to The Warehouse is also a great location to mingle once the ceremony has concluded. With overhanging lights and graffiti walls, this space brings a unique modern city look you won't find anywhere else in Townsville.

  • The Creek Wedding Venue in the Whitsundays

    The Creek, Whitsundays.

Ok… hear me out. The Creek is worth the drive - 2.5 hours south of Townsville or a 30-minute drive north from Airlie Beach. The venue is so epic! I created a blog from Elijah and Andrew’s wedding at The Creek which you can view here.

Sprawling 800 acres, this working farm offers a captivating backdrop for your special occasion. From its expansive grassy paddocks to the graceful presence of horses and cattle grazing under the sunset, this property exudes rustic elegance and offers timeless photo opportunities at every turn.

The creek can host both ceremonies and receptions. There is a large wooden arbour outside ready for your florist to decorate. The courtyard outside the barn is the perfect location for cocktail time, mingling, and snagging a few canapés before you head off for photos. All your photo locations are within walking distance, and the sunsets are next level. Your photographer will be frothing over that golden light. Last but not least, The Barn itself! This reception space is perfect if you're after that modern and rustic vibe. It also helps reduce your stress because you have a wet weather option.

    Guests List: 0 - 200 people

Accommodation: Airlie Beach is the most convenient accommodation choice. Mirage Whitsundays, Airlie Beach Hotel, Coral Sea Resort.

Transport: Plenty of on-site parking for all guests. However, I recommend hiring a bus to transport your guests from their accommodation in Airlie Beach.

  • Magnetic Island Destination Wedding Townsville

    Magnetic Island.

Technically Magnetic Island isn’t a “venue”. It’s an island just off the coast of Townsville and is a great place to get married if you’re after that tropical vibe. It’s also a great excuse to turn your wedding into a holiday for all your family and friends.

If you’re after a ceremony with a backdrop of crystal-clear waters, golden beaches, and lush tropical landscapes... Magnetic Island is a good place to start. Alma Bay, Horseshoe Bay and Picnic Bay are ideal spots to have a ceremony.

Peppers Blue is a popular spot to host receptions and accommodate your guests. Located right next to the ferry terminal so your guests won’t get lost, they offer an open deck overlooking the marina or a large ballroom to host receptions.

    Guests List: 0 - 200 people

Accommodation: Peppers Blue on Blue Resort Magnetic Island.

Transport: It’s worth hiring a bus to transport your guests around from the ceremony to the reception. Otherwise on the days leading up to the wedding Magnetic Island has a great bus system that’s cheap and easy to follow.

  • Earlando Townsville Whitsundays wedding venue

    Earlando.

Don’t shoot the messenger… but we’re heading South of Townsville again for this one. Why? Because it’s worth mentioning this stunning venue.

With over 6,000 acres of private Whitsunday coastal land, Earlando is a treasure trove of stunning private beaches and panoramic viewpoints (great for sunset piccys), complete with a traditional working cattle station. This sought-after wedding venue in the Whitsundays can host both ceremonies and receptions.

You’re spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing a location to get married or party hard into the night. For ceremonies, you can pick the Island View Pavilion for epic ocean views, or the palm-fringed beach for something more tropical. When it's time to eat, drink and party Earlando offers large lawns and a seaside pavilion. This gives you plenty of options for overhanging lights, tipis, or keeping the space open and letting your guests roam.

    Guests List: 0 - 200 people

Accommodation: Airlie Beach is the most convenient accommodation choice. Mirage Whitsundays, Airlie Beach Hotel, Coral Sea Resort.

Transport: Hire a bus for your guests to be picked up in Airlie and for their return journey home after ripping up the dance floor.
