Melissa & Adrian

Marreeba Farm Wedding

Mel + Adrian said their 'I do's' on a farm in Mareeba. For myself and the videographer Ewan from Hudson Films, our minds went into overdrive with the amount of locations we could play with. A mango plantation was only a few feet away from the ceremony, the cane fields were just around the corner and we stumbled upon the holy grail of sheds which filtered in some of the best light. Adrian works on this farm and I'm sure he thought we were crazy when we acted like two excited little girls over a work shed. It was dusty, humid and raw.

Everything came together to create your ideal Atherton Tablelands wedding. Australian native bouquets by Florist Gardens worked perfectly against the outback landscape. The great Italian local cooks created a feast that any mamma would be proud of. This backyard wedding had a marquee that seated 150 people, which kept everyone warm and made sure the party lasted all night.

One last thing... Smoke bombs. Mel told me about them 12 months ago. Ever since then I was pumped about the portrait sesh and couldn't wait to try them out. If you're thinking about it, just do it! They are super fun, the effect is wicked and it's always nice to experiment and see what we can capture. Now I'd love to stay and write... but these photos do most of the talking. If you have any questions or thoughts hit me up. I'm always here to chat :) Enjoy!
