Scott & Heidi | Magnetic Island Wedding, Townsville

Secluded beaches, rugged nature, abundant wildlife and access to the Great Barrier Reef. Sounds like a pretty good spot for a wedding! On the 29th of June two Cairns locals decided to tie the knot on one of Magnetic Island's most popular beaches, Horseshoe Bay.

A destination wedding is two things - 1) Celebrating the love of two people 2) A good excuse for a holiday. When your closest family + friends come together the wedding can turn into a week long celebration. Heidi + Scott hired a few topless mokes to get themselves around the island and to also arrive in style to their ceremony. I'm sure the guests kept themselves busy with the amount of activities and pubs you can explore around the island.

The portrait sesh was super chill! Wedding tip: Bring cheese + crackers when heading off for your portrait photos. We explored the island, ate cheese and feed rock wallabies. Photo locations around the island are so diverse... from old wooden jetties, quiet beaches and hoop pine forests. If anybody is looking for a wedding photographer for their wedding at this island I would go back in a heart beat!

Heidi - Bride "We were so stressed about getting photos as we both do not like photos and terrible at posing for pictures- but the way you were able to capture them naturally is amazing. Made us soo happy looking through them and see the natural and genuine smiles of happiness & laughter rather then staged and posing photos!"
