Holly and Tom, Yorkeys Knob Cane Farm

The Newest Cairns Wedding Venue

If there is one thing Cairns lacks… it’s wedding venues. Port Douglas and Palm Cove receive all the hype and praise when it comes to hosting epic weddings. When I first heard that Holly and Tom were getting married at Yorkeys Knob Cane Farm I had to do a quick google search. In the middle of a cane field stands the shed - there are no neighbours to cause noise complaints and it was nearby beaches and the city for guest accommodation.

Tom and his groomsmen suited up in stylish black tuxedos by Harrolds and Holly wore an elegant dress by Chanel Jaymes Bridal with the bridesmaids in burnt orange (the go-to colour for 2022). The venue has so much space for stylists to get creative and bring the wow factor… Shae-An from The Collection Co brought precisely that! The photos from the reception are some of my favourites from the 2022 wedding season. It wouldn’t have been possible without Shae-An’s creative wizardry.

All the portraits taken on the day were only a walking distance from the venue. Old tin sheds, a dirt road and cane fields were everything we needed for the bridal party and couple photos. Sunset at Yorkeys Knob Cane Farm is the perfect time to mingle with guests and enjoy canapes. The light is beautiful and I guarantee your guests are going to go photo crazy with selfies as the mountain range bursts with colour #forthegram.
