The beautiful thing about having a wedding at Palm Cove is that you don’t have to travel around to get to the bride + groom preparation, ceremony and reception. Less rushing around and less stress is a great thing. The ceremony, portrait sesh and reception can all be catered for on the one street that follows the beach. I started the morning with the bride + groom getting ready at The Reef House. Once they looked 110% it was just a walk out to the ceremony on the beach. Shorty after the guests walked across the road, back to The Reef House for canapés and drinks.

With all weddings I recommend the couple to bring drinks and food for the portrait sesh. These two had it covered… a full esky was waiting for us on a 20 seater bus. For the first 10 minutes of photos I let the bridal party eat, drink and chill. Everything that has happened before this moment can be exhausting. They deserved a rest. We explored both ends of Palm Cove before I felt it was time to leave. It was super busy with holiday makers and I counted 4 other weddings happening along the beach. We needed our own space! I directed the bus driver ditch Palm Cove and find a quiet spot at Ellis Beach. It was perfect. No people, no weddings and just a Bride + Groom having a little quiet time together.

We arrived back to The Reef House to officially start the party. The Reef House served dinner and a few extra Italian treats were provided by Nonna and Aunties. I was pleasantly surprised by the dance floor groovers. It was both Nonnas ripping it up! They really showed up the younger generation.
