Destination Wedding - New Zealand

Ryan + Amy

Friendships that are formed while traveling last a life time. This was the case when I met Ryan + Amy while sailing Croatia 4 years ago. We had a common interest for travel and could always pick up where we left off..

An invitation to shoot their wedding at the historic Woodlands Estate, New Zealand was an honour! The entire wedding was filled with emotion, love and laughs. Their ceremony was the most authentic I have ever captured. Pam Bayes, the celebrant was amazing! She was a huge support for Ryan on his wedding day and became the shoulder to lean on for both the Bride + Groom.

Grey clouds loomed over the venue for the entire day. This didn't spoil the wedding one bit! The ceremony moved indoors but made it far more personal and real. I couldn't have asked for better light to shoot the portrait session. The venue itself is pretty awesome; Woodlands Estate is a treasured historic homestead and public garden estate. There are various old bridges, secret gardens, huge oaks trees to play around and the homestead interior hasn't changed since the 1800's.

I’d really like to visit this beautiful venue again! I’m sure there are so many more little areas to explore that we didn’t even touch on. If you’re getting married at Woodlands Estate and are looking for a photographer, I'd love to hear from you.
